Attraverso il documentario Sir David Attenborough ha realizzato un sogno che lo accompagna fin da quando visitava questo museo da bambino: "Vengo al Museo di Storia Naturale da quando ero un ragazzo, è uno dei luoghi ideali per conoscere la storia naturale. In questo documentario abbiamo la tecnologia per riportare in vita alcune delle creature più straordinarie del pianeta: alcune sono relativamente recenti, come il dodo, altre meno, come i dinosauri, e altre ancora le conosciamo solo grazie ai ritrovamenti dei fossili".
