Descrizione:
Ali è una ragazza con una voce bellissima che decide di trasferirsi a Los Angeles da un paesino di provincia per inseguire i suoi sogni. Al Burlesque Lounge, un teatro in difficoltà ma sede di un noto spettacolo di varietà, Ali ottiene un lavoro come cameriera da Tess, proprietaria e direttrice del club. I costumi trasgressivi e le danze sensuali del Burlesque, affascinano l'ingenua ragazza che si ripromette, un giorno, di far parte dello show. Ali conquista l'affetto di Jack, un affascinante barman e musicista che le offre alloggio per un po', stringe un'amicizia con una ballerina e attira su di sé la gelosia di una cantante. Quando Ali riesce finalmente a conquistare il palcoscenico, anche grazie all'aiuto del manager della compagnia la sua voce eccezionale riporta il Burlesque Lounge al suo antico splendore.
