Otto anni sono passati e il consiglio di amministrazione della Play Pals Toys rievoca la vicenda di Andy Barclay che aveva portato quasi sul lastrico la ditta con le accuse contro uno dei loro pupazzi “Tipo Bello” (traduzione di “Good Guy”). Adesso, visto il tempo trascorso, gli amministratori ritengono di rimettere in circolazione il bambolotto. Sullivan (Peter Haskell) in persona avalla la decisione. Ma è proprio Sullivan la prima vittima di Chucky, resuscitato e tornato in azione. Chucky, sempre con il pensiero fisso di uscire dal corpo del bambolotto, cerca Andy (Justin Whalin) che adesso è un sedicenne che frequenta una scuola militare.
