Descrizione:
Simona è una mamma single quarantenne legata da un amore profondo al suo bambino, Filippo. Si sente però terribilmente inadeguata al ruolo e l'organizzazione della festa per gli otto anni di lui porta a galla tutte le sue insicurezze. Combattuta tra l'assecondare i desideri del figlio e la volontà di proteggerlo dal giudizio altrui, che può essere feroce, Simona arriva al giorno della festa carica di aspettative e di ansia. Quando gli invitati, genitori e figli, affluiscono uno dopo l'altro varcando la soglia di casa, si viene a comporre, compresso in un interno, uno squarcio di varia umanità. Mentre in soggiorno i bambini giocano, gli adulti in cucina si odiano amabilmente. Fino a quando una inattesa performance di Filippo rompe gli schemi e innesca un effetto domino di azioni e reazioni che porta la festa a deragliare…
