Descrizione:
Sophie ha diciotto anni e ogni giorno lavora instancabilmente nel negozio di cappelli del suo defunto padre. Un giorno, durante una rara escursione in città, per caso incontra il Mago Howl. Howl è ardito e bello, ma come tutti i maghi un po' smidollato. La Strega della Spazzatura, equivocando la natura del loro rapporto, getta una maledizione su Sophie, trasformandola in una novantenne rugosa. Sophie va via di casa e girovaga in una distesa desolata dove per caso entra nel castello mobile di Howl. Nascondendo la sua identita', diventa la donna delle pulizie. La vecchia petulante Sophie rimette a posto la casa, con molto piů brio di quanto ne avesse in origine. Cosa farà Sophie e cosa capiterà tra lei e Howl?
