Specialmente la sua amata Lois Lane che intanto ha vinto un premio pulitzer con l'editoriale "Perchè il mondo non ha bisogno di Superman" e vive con un compagno e un figlio. Ci sono molte cose da mettere a posto, disastri da sventare, criminali da inseguire, donne amate da riconquistare e soprattutto Lex Luthor da fermare. La nemesi storica dell'uomo d'acciaio infatti ha pronto un piano per erigere un nuovo continente e diventare il padrone del mondo vendendo tecnologia aliena.
