Descrizione:
I repentini e violenti sbalzi climatici che sconvolgono da qualche tempo la Gran Bretagna mettono in allarme i servizi segreti, dopo che gli scienziati più qualificati non hanno saputo darvi spiegazione plausibile. Incaricato di svolgere un'indagine, l'agente John Steed (Fiennes) del "Dicastero" - la segretissima organizzazione posta a tutela della nazione - sospetta dapprima della dottoressa Emma Peel (Thurman), impegnata nel progetto di ricerche meteorologiche "Prospero", ma poi, insieme con lei, scopre il vero responsabile di tanti disastri nel miliardario scozzese Sir August De Wynter (Connery), che interferisce sulle condizioni climatiche per mezzo delle attrezzature di un super tecnologico laboratorio. Scatenando temperature glaciali, bufere di neve, invasioni di api meccaniche ed altri cataclismi di biblica portata, il folle criminale progetta estorcere una somma astronomica alle Nazioni Unite ricattandole con la minaccia della fine del mondo.
