Lisa è vincente da quando aveva otto anni, i codini biondi e una palla di cuoio da lanciare più lontano di qualsiasi maschietto. Giocatrice carismatica e blasonata di una squadra di softball, Lisa viene estromessa dalla squadra da un allenatore ottuso che considera 'troppi' i suoi soli trentacinque anni.
