In partenza per un’escursione in rafting, Gray e sua sorella Joey hanno un rapporto complicato: si vogliono bene, ma non si fidano l’uno dell’altra. Si concedono un’escursione insieme ad altri turisti e ad un amico d’infanzia di Gray, Trevor, dal passato complicato. Sua sorella Joey teme che la presenza di Trevor possa creare scompiglio. Costretti a fermarsi a causa delle rapide, il gruppo sosta per la notte e improvvisamente quel viaggio così adrenalinico ed eccitante si trasforma in brivido di terrore e lotta alla sopravvivenza. Chi sta cercando di sabotare quel viaggio? Chi dovrebbe temere così tanto la verità da spingersi a ferire gli altri? Pur di sopravvivere, Joey e tutti i viaggiatori saranno costretti ad aggrapparsi ai propri istinti omicidi e cercare di tenere testa all’inganno.
