Descrizione:
A Parigi nel 1943 un generale della Wehrmacht, appassionato di calcio, promuove una partita tra la nazionale tedesca e una squadra formata da prigionieri di guerra alleati. È un'operazione di propaganda bellica, ma la Resistenza francese ne approfitta per organizzare durante l'intervallo l'evasione dei prigionieri che, invece, per orgoglio sportivo, rimangono in campo, strappando un pareggio nonostante un arbitraggio scandaloso, e riuscendo a fuggire, mescolati alla folla festante che ha invaso lo stadio.
