Quando il noto scrittore di gialli Harlan Thrombey viene trovato morto nella sua tenuta poco dopo il suo 85° compleanno, il detective Benoit Blanc, curioso e disinvolto, viene misteriosamente reclutato per investigare sull'accaduto.
