La ragazza assassina Hit Girl il giovane vigilante Kick-Ass stanno entrambi cercando di vivere come due normali teenager con i nomi di Mindy e Dave. Preoccupato del diploma di fine anno e di un futuro alquanto incerto, Dave crea la prima squadra di supereroi "mondiali" insieme a Mindy. Sfortunatamente però la ragazza viene scoperta nei panni di Hit Girl, ed è costretta a ritirarsi, restando sola ad affrontare il terrificante mondo della scuola, popolato da malvagie studentesse. Nel frattempo Red Mist (tornato con il nuovo nome di The Mother Fuck) sta creando la propria squadra per far pagare ai suoi acerrimi nemici -Kick-Ass e Hit Girl- per ciò che hanno fatto a suo padre.
